It involves the use of a 3D CBCT scan that we have in our clinic that only few clinics in the island use to create a digital model of the patient's mouth. This model is then used to create a surgical guide that directs the exact placement of the dental implants.
This technology allows for a minimally invasive approach to implant placement, as the surgeon is able to place the implants without the need for a large incision or flap. Additionally, the use of guided implantology minimizes the risk of implant failure, as the implants are placed in the optimal location with optimal angulation.
During the dental implant procedure, a small titanium post is surgically placed into the jawbone to act as a sturdy foundation for the artificial tooth. This post fuses with the bone over time, creating a strong and durable anchor. Once the implant is securely in place, a custom-made crown is attached to complete the restoration, blending seamlessly with your existing teeth.
